2002 in Calw gegründet, haben die BOOZE BOMBS, deren Mitglieder auch in
Bands wie DEVILS & SOEHNE, THE HILLBILLY HEROES oder TATTOO 59 aktiv
sind, neben der europäischen Szene auch in den USA eine rege Anhängerschaft,
die mit regelmäßigen Tourneen beehrt wird. Das Herrentrio an Schlagzeug,
Kontrabass und Gitarre wird durch die charismatische, stimmgewaltige Sägerin
ANNIE LEOPARDO kongenial ergänzt, die mit ihrem ausdrucksstarken Vortrag an
Göttinnen wie WANDA JACKSON oder PATSY CLINE erinnert. Mit den
14 schwungvollen Songs präsentieren die BOOZE BOMBS eine smarte
Mixtur aus Rockabilly- und Roots-Country, während sie live auch zahlreiche
Coverversionen spielen (z.B. CHUCK BERRY, JOHNNY BURNETTE, TED HEROLD),
finden sich hier fast nur Eigenkompositionen, mit viel Stil und Elan vorgetragen.
