Eine italienische Rockabilly-Band reist nach Hawaii, ist vom Charme der Südsee
überwältigt und beginnt danach, ihren Sound mit den typischen Elementen hawaiianischer
Musik zu bereichern.
Das bereits zweite Album von I BELLI DI WAIKIKI betört mit Steel Guitar und Ukulele, Kontrabass und Schlagzeug bilden jedoch das Rock'n'Roll-Fundament.
Auf 'Tipi Da Spiaggia' finden sich 13 Songs, die den Hörer unverzüglich ins Jahr 1958 an die Bamboo Bar im Kona Kai versetzten, umgeben von wundervollen Hulatänzerinnen, die sich graziös zum Steelgitarrensound bewegen. Ein wunderbar sommerliches Album, voll leichter Klänge und süsser Melancholie. Fernweh garantiert!

This CD includes "Honolulu Rock & Roll" at its best, made by the italian combo I BELLI DI WAIKIKI !! After the big success of their 1st album "Aloha – Made in Hawaii" (also released on Part Records; being re-pressed at the moment), here is their 2nd album now. Pure party music with "caribean holiday feeling"…!! Aloha malahini and wahine. Imagine the year 1958, imagine standing on the front bamboo bar and drinking some 'mai tai', maybe inside the 'Don the beachcomber' or the 'Kona Kai', surrounded by tiki idols, coloured flowers and people dressed in marvellous tropical clothes.
