Take four enthusiastic guys from the German mining area, a slap bass, guitar, drums and a sack full of good old rockabilly pieces and some own compositions with traditional vintage touch and spice the whole with a few modern highlights and you will get a unique sound with authentic lead vocals, cool slap bass, driving drums and absurd guitar tones.
A recipe for success, which rises in the case of the Jailbirds, despite some member changes since the early 90s. The Jailbirds are traded more than ever among connoisseurs as the Germany`s Hot Rock `n` Roll band. No 1.
After 4 CDs and numerous songs on compilations, the idea for this album was born, as the Jailbirds were approached constantly for songs from already sold out recordings.
So there are here the best tracks of the last 15 years. Most of the songs are reworked to an identical noise and improving dynamic acoustics, some have been rerecorded. A compilation that gives a perfect impression of the fidelity of the Jailbirds style and makes you looking forward to the next gigs.

For over 15 years the Jailbirds are remain in their own distinctive style of rockabilly faithfully.
The Jailbirds started back in the early 90´s with Martin Manneck, vocals, Lutz Berkenfeld on drums, Stefan Konitzer on slap-bass and Peter Geisthoff on guitar. The recordings for "Do not You Cry" were started with Marcel Leist and finished with Fatmir Toska on guitar. Even this CD was very well received, increased awareness and thus ensured frequent gigs.
The millennium started with the second album “Viva Las Vegas” also on Tombstone Records. With a pure and heart-racing beat it gained a whole lotta fans. Maico Masjoshustmann on lead guitar set subterranean fire into the music. No doubt, this album made the Jailbirds popular in the European Rock´n´Roll Circus.
The third album of the Jailbirds, “Secret” was released in 2002 on Cherokee Records. And without Cherokee Records, “Secret” would not have had the special financial ingredient, that makes some people say it is one of the Jailbirds´ best sounding albums. Shortly before the recording, Marcel Strohm jumped in with his slap-bass and is still there today. Many songs from this album like “Secret Agent Man”, “As Long As I Live” or “Cats In The Cradle” are still crowd favourites.
In 2005 the Jailbirds released a 3-track-single-CD named ”Layla” in a showy rockabilly dress. The hot groove and cool arrangement became a high rockin´’ fascination to the audience. Also in this year guitar player Mark Braunen added his own style with many new and mean guitar lines to the band. He composed, together with the Jailbirds, some of their best songs. The full length CD “Birds Are Back” was released in 2007, including favourites like “Light My Fire”, “Wild Ones”, “Pet Sematary” or “That Blue Moon”.
In 2010 the Jailbirds have received a big boost in their latest member, Lele Lugosi on lead guitar! They just started to work on their next release. Because they were asked so often about certain songs from sold-out albums or samplers, they decided to put the best together and bring it back again on this “2010 Special”.
They found a new and full-fledged partner to present and promote the best of the Jailbirds: Part Records .
