Texabilly Rockets - 45's Jamboree
It all began in March 1993, when the on the Portuguese scene Rodabilly well-known Shaker Wildcat founded the Texabilly Rockers in Lisabon. They started with gigs in pubs around and in Lisbon and then they toured in Portugal, from north to south. After four years, the Texabilly Rockers finally recorded their first album called -Honey Let's Go- on the Portuguese independent label, Metralha Records.
A little later the first gigs followed outside their home country. After they had in 2000 their demo CD sent to various countries to various labels, it was Andy Widder, Mr. Part Records, who took the album -There's Gonna Be A Ball- and organized the first, twenty-two days and longest record-release-tour through Portugal, Spain, France, Britain and Germany organized. This tour was the start shot to a great career, because since then the four cats belong to the requested bands at all European Rockabilly festivals.
On four following successful albums, all recorded on Part Records, the four sympathic Portuguese guys, who called Texabilly Rockets since 2004, have saved their good mood raw and wild Rockabilly for the eternity.Since May 2011 they are the first Rockabilly band with a star spiked on the Portuguese Hall of Fame! With their new album -45's Jamboree-, on which fourteen own songs can be found, they are more as worthy for this award.
