Pentecost the Rock'n'Roll world is upside down, since Pentecost is Walldorf. The Walldorf Weekender, the unique festival, has made the quiet town near Heidelberg, a mecca for the whole Rock'n'Roll folk. Hepcats, Rockabillies and some Psychobillies are looking forward the whole year to the three exuberant days and best live acts. 2011, a firework was lit. Rapidly sweeping and genius hardly be surpassed bands and solo artists have the enthusiastic audience little time to breathe.
The mixture of many different styles, from Doo-Wop harmony to hard Neo-Rockabilly delivered a great cross-section through the fascinatingly diverse world of Rock'n'Roll and made sure everybody got his money's worth.
Meanwhile it has become a nice tradition that the artists who gave themselves a rendezvous on the Weekender will be brought together in connection with one of their best songs to a brilliant sampler. Eighteen crackers from seven countries around the world are now waiting to be bridged as a reminder of a fabulous weekend, the time until the next-Walldorf Weekender.
But not only visitors to the festival are their true joy to have the album, the compilation promises a treat for any Rock'n'Roll lover.
