Exklusiv beim Big Rhythm Rumble:
Einzige Show der Excitements in Deutschland !!!!!!

Vom 10.

Exclusive at the Big Rhythm Rumble:
Only German show of the Excitements !!!!!!

Again from July 10 to 12, the Big Rhythm Rumble Festival is taking place at the Roxy in Ulm, Germany. The absolute highlight this year is the Spanish Rhythm’n’Soul band The Excitements, who have just been voted ‘Best Live Band in Spain’ by the Spanish promoters and bookers. IT must have been like this in 1959, when Ike and Tina Turner hit the stage together for the first time and driving the audience into ecstasy. Hardly any other band has such a stage presence like this seven-member Rhythm’n’Soul lineup who surround the charismatic singer Koko-Jean Davis. And no other band plays Rhythm’n’Soul so authentically and full of energy.

In addition, the Big Rhythm Rumble is a festival that consciously includes the 50s to early 60s: The wildest and most interesting era of music history, which revolutionized the music world at that time and completely lifted it off its hinges. At this weekend, there’s a meeting of the roots of rhythm and blues with the white continuation, Rockabilly, and the change from black rhythm and blues to soul. The Big Rumble Rhythm Weekender in Ulm is currently the only festival in Germany (and one of the few in Europe) that covers all musical aspects of this era. The kind of roots music, that influences the later Rockabilly- and Rock’n’Roll-scene, the Boogie clubs and also the Mod-, Soul- and Northern Soul scene.

On the other hand, the Big Rhythm Rumble has always set a goal not to create a line up of the bands based on on quantity or pure name dropping, but on musically class. This time it’s nine high class bands again. From the original Jump- and Rhythm’n’Blues (Mike Sanchez, Nico Duportal, Jai Malano) on Rockabilly and Rock’n’Roll (Lucky Marcell, The Mono Kings, The Satellites, Chris Aron & The Croakers, The Bombs) to the decidedly best Rhythm’n’Soul band of these days, the Excitements. All bands handpicked and at their best.

Plus six internationally renowned djs from all over Europe: Miss Aloha (London), Lalla Hop (Rome), Henry (Milan), Blip Blop (Hannover), Alex (Barcelona) and Pierre La Qua (Ulm) will bring the best sound to the record hop and to the big stage. A musical range from rhythm and blues and rockabilly to Jive to Rhythm’n’Soul.
