Dapper Dan - Hair Tonic, green

The hair tonic refreshes your scalp and gives it a long-lasting fresh scent of menthol and the classic Dapper Dan After Shave Green. Your hair is perfectly prepared for the following styling with pomade.

• Depending on the length of your hair, pour a teaspoon or a little more Hair Tonic into the palm of your hand and distribute it with your hands up to the hairline and work it in until it is dry. Then comb as desired and style with pomade for more hold.

• Carefully place the bottle opening on the right side parting line - careful not to let too much flow out - and draw an approx. 5 cm long "strip" of Hair Tonic. Now repeat the same on the left side parting line. Now rub the Dapper Dan Hair Tonic for 10-50 seconds with strong movements into the scalp and hair. For a stronger hold, add Dapper Dan Pomade to the hair and comb and brush the hair into the desired shape with a Dapper Dan Hair Brush.

• In barbershops of the 1930-50's, the application of a Hair Tonics was a relaxing and delightful procedure for the customer. In order for the Dapper Dan Hair Tonic to be better absorbed by the scalp, the barber would place a hot, damp and wrung out towel on the upper part of the head to open the pores. As soon as the towel had cooled down, he exchanged it for a second hot towel. As soon as this also cooled down, he took it off his head and applied the Dapper Dan Hair Tonic as described above, massaging it into the client's scalp. Finally the hair was combed into shape and the hairstyle was perfected with a hairbrush.
