The story of the Womanizer Pomade - told by the doer Carsten Sommer.

In 2013 I got a pomade in my hands whose scent simply knocked me off my stool. So I bought it, whereby it was "only" a medium and actually not suitable for my thin and very curly hair... but the scent!
I started to smear my standard pomade and used the fragrant pomade as a topper. Since this medium was so oil-heavy, it unfortunately loosened the hold of the other pomade and the hair was no longer able to do what I wanted.

It was howling, all that smelled good didn't last on me. All that which held well, was not my taste from the smell.
It occurred to me that the producer of my standard pomade told me on his promotion tour that he cooked it himself on his farm in the beginning.

That's the moment I told myself I was gonna make it. I would create a pomade with the scent I like. I wrote down all the ingredients and started to heat up the cauldron at home. If someone had told me at that time that I needed to study chemistry to make it, I would have left it alone.
After I had thrown away fat and wax for 1.5 years and repeatedly accepted setbacks, a friend opened my eyes with just one sentence "remember the roots". I changed the recipe a few more times and had the basic recipe which my hair knew how to control.

I gave a sample for evaluation to a good friend with expertise and was pleased that he evaluated the sample very constructively. Thus I knew that I was on a good way up to a small weak point.

Since 2013, the pomade has been covered by the European Cosmetics Regulation
For me this meant that the pomade needed a so-called "safety assessment", which I then had done by a freelance expert. However, what did not belong to it, but was important for me, was a dermatological safety assessment, which I successfully had prepared...
NO!
It was important to me that no animals had to suffer for our vanity and for this reason I looked for an institute that ONLY works with human subjects.

No industrial goods!
Since I have fun making the pomade and don't want to let it be taken away, I wanted to continue producing it from home, but at home it doesn't really conform to our legal texts. So I got smart with the office and started to build a room in our next house where I could work under laboratory conditions.
